Our Story

Oh Sheet was inspired by a fashion blog post I read back in 2019, which detailed the vast amounts of garments used worldwide derived from synthetic fibres that were harmful to the environment. After delving deeper, it shocked me to discover how destructive our consumption habits have been for our environment.

So, with this in mind, the question came to me:

What is a truly sustainable textile?

After extensive research on the topic, I arrived at my answer - TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres.

TENCEL™ is arguably the world’s most sustainable fibre. And since TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are known for their natural comfort, versatility in aesthetics and functionality, efficient moisture absorption and gentleness to the skin, we decided that it was the best fit for Oh Sheet.

Once we signed on with a mill, between the product approval process and the amount of money needed to meet minimum order quantities for suppliers, it took about a year to get us to the final product. The production process and backend work then took another few months, respectively. And during this time, I had many sleepless nights and points where I genuinely thought we would not make it as a business.

And yet, here we are, having launched our business online with photos taken from our humble little rented unit.

Last but not least, customers are the heart of the business so thank you for being here and supporting my little business. Feel free to have a look around and please don't hesitate to reach out via hello@ohsheet.com.au if you have any questions.

It is our hope that more people will be able to sleep easy on our beautiful TENCEL™ eucalyptus bed sheets, knowing that they’re helping shape a world where our consumption as a species will not be at the expense of our planet. If you do have a moment, we'd really appreciate it if you could spread the word and tell your family and friends about us x

With Love,

Quynh, Founder of Oh Sheet
